Best outdoor spots
Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden
One of the best parks in Tokyo for families with babies. Wide open lawns, smooth stroller-friendly paths, and enough space that you never feel crowded. The nursing room inside the museum is clean and well-equipped. Entry ¥500 for adults, free for under 15.

Miyashita Park (Shibuya)

Yebisu Garden Place (Ebisu)

Tokyo Toy Museum (Yotsuya)

Chikyuu no Niwa — Tokyo Solamachi (Skytree)
Indoor play area on the 5th floor of Tokyo Solamachi, right next to Tokyo Skytree. Colorful, well-staffed, and very clean. Staff actively play with children, which makes it easy for parents to take a short break. Combine with a Skytree visit for a full day out.

PLAY! PARK ERIC CARLE (Futakotamagawa)
An indoor play space themed around Eric Carle’s picture books (The Very Hungry Caterpillar etc.). Beautifully designed, clean, and well-organized. Best for ages 1–4. Requires advance booking — it fills up fast on weekends.

Miraikan — National Museum of Emerging Science (Odaiba)
A large science museum in Odaiba with interactive exhibits, a giant suspended globe, and a dedicated baby and toddler play area called “Oyakko Hiroba” — free to use with museum admission. Good for a half-day trip combining the museum with the Odaiba waterfront.
